Frontend Developer (React/TypeScript)

Remote (Germany) Part-Time Working Student

We're looking for a motivated frontend developer to join our team working on Make it Meme, an online party game enjoyed by millions. You'll develop features using React/TypeScript while creating responsive interfaces with our in-house UI library. For the Working Student position, we're ideally looking for students in Computer Science, Media Informatics, or related fields at a German university or FH. A significant portion of your work will involve both functional programming and UI implementation, so you should enjoy creating beautiful interfaces as much as writing clean code. This remote position offers flexible hours and hands-on experience with technologies that will strengthen your development skills while working on a product used by millions worldwide.

Requirements

  • Strong React and TypeScript skills
  • Strong understanding of CSS/SCSS for UI development
  • Good eye for UI/UX and responsive design implementation
  • Experience with React's component-based architecture
  • Clean code practices and version control (Git / GitLab)
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently
  • Currently enrolled as a student at a german Uni (for Working Student employment)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English or German

Responsibilities

  • Develop UI components and features for our main product
  • Implement responsive designs across various screen sizes
  • Build and maintain internal tools like moderation systems
  • Write clean, maintainable code
  • Debug and fix issues in existing codebase
  • Collaborate with our remote team
